Equipped to Serve

God is truly at work in our community!  As a discipleship-based school, we seek to follow Christ’s example of developing each person in our community for the Kingdom of God.  We look to Ephesians 4:11-12 as the biblical foundation and call to “equip the saints for acts of service.”  These verses state, “And He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”

An important part of the culture here at Westminster is having each person serving in the area of giftedness that God has given him or her through the value we call "equipping."  As we engage and build into those serving in our community, we place an intentional focus on embracing the Equipping value.  We do this by helping each believer discover how God has gifted him/her and then equipping each person with the tools to pursue a fulfilling place of service for the glory of God.
