The 8th Annual Phil Sokody Golf Classic was held on Monday, August 13th! The 18 hole scramble began with a shot gun start at 1:00 and was followed by a dinner reception, silent auction and awards ceremony. A wonderful time was enjoyed by all in attendance. Congratulations to this year's winners! Be on the lookout for information regarding next year's event next spring! Special thanks to the golf committee for all of their work making this a wonderful event!

The Phil Sokody Character Award is given to a person who exemplifies many of the same characteristics as Phil did in his life and association with Westminster Christian School. He was dedicated to the growth and development of the school as a whole and demonstrated that commitment by sacrificial giving of his time, energy and resources. His promotion of Westminster was done strictly by example, and his drive and determination to pursue excellence was apparent to everyone with whom he came in contact.
The person receiving this award demonstrates that same type of commitment that encompasses the school as a whole. He or she actively gives of their time, energy and resources and promotes the school on a variety of levels. It is evident to those who come in contact with the recipient that theirs is a deep felt love and desire to grow and build Westminster Christian School.
