Instrumental Music

Westminster Christian School offers curricular band at the elementary, middle and high school levels.  In the instrumental program, students are instructed in the basics of musicianship and ensemble playing.  Our performing ensembles present four concerts each school year and perform occasionally for our school chapels and assemblies. Students in both our instrumental and choral groups attend the ACSI Music Festival held each March. The WCS music department recently became involved in the IHSA Solo and Ensemble Contest held each spring.

WCS also offers an extra-curricular Jazz Combo for high school band students. An audition is required for this ensemble.  For more information regarding instrumental music, please visit our music department's website at www.wcsmusic.net.
