Welcome Parents!

Parental Involvement

A strong parent/school partnership is a critical component of a Christian school. Parents are invited to visit classrooms and to be involved as much as their time allows. We communicate actively with parents and warmly welcome parent input regarding programs and practice, since we exist to serve believing parents in the education of their children. Such feedback also helps us in the ongoing process of school improvement.

WCS also seeks to "equip the saints" by matching parental gifts with areas of service in the school, as appropriate (Ephesians 4:12-15). This equipping produces a lively volunteer spirit, in which parents are blessing their own child(ren) and supporting the growth of all the children within the covenant community.

Upon admission to WCS, parents are asked to agree to, and maintain, a lifestyle that is in accordance with Biblical directives on morality. In addition, parents are asked to support and trust the administration and teaching staff in the discipline process. To undermine the conferred authority in this partnership is unhealthy for children. Because we acknowledge that we are subject to sin and error, our policies allow for peaceable appeal.
