Ministry Partners

We value each and every person as they lift Westminster's ministry up in prayer, as they share our story with others and as they partner with us financially. Thank you for considering making Westminster a part of your life!

Cash Gifts

Westminster willingly receives gifts in the form of cash or check at any time. All gifts which are not designated to a particular fund, campaign, or special project are used for regular operating expenses.

Matching Gifts

Your employer may be one of the more than 1,000 companies that have matching gift programs. Matching gifts can often double your personal contribution. To find out if your company has a matching gift program, contact your human resources or personnel department. When you make your gift to WCS, complete the form your employer will provide and enclose it with your gift. We will do the rest!

Pledges

Many ministry partners find it easier to pledge a gift in several installments throughout the life of the campaign (final pledge amounts for a given fiscal year are due by July 31).  If you choose to give monthly, quarterly or on some other schedule, please let us know your preference.

Gifts of Stock

You may find it more convenient and financially advantageous to make a gift of appreciated securities, which will eliminate capital gains taxes to you.  For additional information, please contact your broker, tax accountant, financial advisor, or our Business Office at 847.695.0310 ext. 210.

Gifts from Estate Plans

Westminster Christian School would be grateful if you would also consider a gift to the school through a bequest in your will or trust.  Please contact your financial advisor regarding how estate planning benefits can be maximized for your continued enjoyment today as well as for continued blessings for this ministry in years to come.

How Will My Gift Be Used?

The major fund areas to which your gift may be designated include the following:

Annual Fund Giving

Currently all annual fund gifts are used to provide financial assistance to our families on an as needed basis. The WCS board is committed to having tuition dollars cover the cost of operations but desires to help meet the needs of our families by fundraising for this assistance fund. Families who are awarded assistance are done so after an application process and interview with WCS administration. Each family is also asked to volunteer service hours back to the school as a way of saying thank you for the support.   This year, over $150,000 was awarded in financial assistance. Praise God!

Who supports the Annual Fund Campaign?

We encourage all our current parents, grandparents, alumni, past parents and friends to be rich toward God with the resources He’s given you by prayerfully contributing to WCS each year. Your support of the Annual Fund Campaign expresses your belief in the strength of a Christ-centered education, your hope for future generations and God’s faithfulness, and your confidence in Westminster's many years of excellence.

Capital Fund Giving

As needs are identified, Westminster asks families, alumni and friends to consider major gifts and pledges over several years toward meeting those goals. In past capital campaigns, funds were used to build the new gym and middle school facility.

Designated Giving

Designated gifts may be made any time a ministry partner wishes. These gifts help Westminster meet an identified need which is approved as an item of high importance. Please consult a member of the administration team if you feel led to contribute in this way.
