Students will explore and develop artistic methods to visually communicate. Through a studio experience, students will investigate the use of various mediums and techniques to create artwork that is aesthetically pleasing and God honoring. Current course offerings are: Yearbook, Fundamentals of Design, Graphic Arts, Drawing, Painting, Ceramics I, Ceramics II, Digital Photography, Art History, Foundations of Art, and Honors Art.
Students are provided a variety of opportunities within the program that are both curricular and extracurricular. These opportunities include Art Club, ACSI Arts Festival, Artist of the Month, NIU High School Invitational, Visual Art Department Purchase Award, Illinois Art Educators Student Traveling Show, A Night at the Gallery, as well as community exhibits.
